'''The Communist Organization of Greece''' (Greek: Κομμουνιστική Οργάνωση Ελλάδας - Komounistiki Organosi Elladas, KOE) originates in the [[Organisation of Marxists-Leninists of Greece]] (OMLE) that split away from the [[Communist Party of Greece]] in [[1964]] supporting the political beliefs of Mao Zedong.

Its founding members were part of the [[Communist Party of Greece (Marxist-Leninist)]], which passed through a major crisis and splits in the early [[1980s]]. Since [[1984]], they founded [[A/synechia]] and started an effort aiming at rebuilding the communist movement on a new basis. The Communist Organization of Greece was formally founded in early [[2003]].

Its paper is called "Aristera!" ("Left!"). "Aristera!" started in February [[1996]] as a monthly paper. Nowadays, it is published biweekly. In the legislative elections of [[2000]], KOE (under the name "Left!") particated together with [[M-L KKE]] gathering 5,866 votes.
