The '''Communist Youth of Greece''', ([[Greek language|Greek]]: Κομμουνιστική Νεολαία Ελλαδας, KNE) is the youth wing of the [[Communist Party of Greece]] (KKE). It publishes the weekly newspaper ''Odigitis'' (Greek: Οδηγητής, "guider") and hosts annual festivals in most of the major towns and cities of [[Greece]].

KNE is a member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth.

== Organisation ==
KNE is following the organisational structure described as democratic centralism. They have a tight relationship with the Greek student rally '''PKS''' (ΠΚΣ).

== History ==
[[KNE]] was founded in 1968, with a decision of the Political Secretariat of the [[KKE]], during the Greek military [[junta]] of 1967-1974, aiming in democracy, state independence and anti-imperialistic/anti-monopoly ideals.

In the early 90's, the KNE, KKE's youth wing split to form [[NAR]], the "New Left Current". The majority of its youth in major cities, especially in [[Thessaloniki]] left to NAR. Despite the loss of many of its members, though, the KNE was quickly reorganized with new members, and became a popular youth organization. Its stance during the Yugoslav wars and the fact that it organized massive demonstrations against the European Union and the USA, which attracted many young people made it rather popular among young people and many recruitments were made during that time.
