The '''Democratic Alliance''' ([[Greek language|Greek]] Δημοκρατική Συμμαχία) is a centrist political party that was founded by ex-[[New Democracy]] MP [[Dora Bakoyannis]].

Bakoyannis was defeated for the leadership of the [[New Democracy]] party by [[Antonis Samaras]]. Subsequently, she refused to follow the party line and was finally expelled in May [[2010]] after she voted in Parliament for the European Union loan package and associated austerity measures.

She formed Democratic Alliance on [[November 21]], [[2010]]. The party attracted another three MPs who were ousted from [[New Democracy]] and is thus represented by four MPs in the [[2012]] [[Hellenic Parliament]].
