'''Dilesi''' ([[Greek language|Greek]] Δήλεσι) is a town in the municipality of Tanagra, [[Boeotia prefecture]], in [[Central Greece]]. It is situated on the coast of the [[Southern Euboea Gulf]], 50km from [[Athens]].

The population of the town, according to the [[2001]] census was 3126 inhabitants.

On [[April 6]], [[1870]], a battle between bandits and the Greek Army took place in Dilesi which cost the lives of 10 soldiers, 7 bandits and the four foreign hostages the gang was holding. This event went down in history as the "[[Massacre at Dilesi]]".
