Partsalidis was born in [[1905]] in [[Trapezounta]], in the [[Pontus]] region of [[Asia Minor]]. The defeat of the communist [[Democratic Army of Greece]] (DSE) at the [[Battle of Grammos-Vitsi]] forced him into exile.

In [[1953]], after the death of Joseph Stalin, he was purged from membership of the KKE.

Partsalidis died in [[1980]].
