'''Djamel Abdoun''' is a French-born Algerian [[football (soccer)|football]] midfielder.

Abdoun was born on [[February 14]] [[1986]] in Montreuil, Paris, France. He started his career in the youth system of Paris Saint-Germain in [[2002]], moving on to Ajaccio the following year.

Abdoun's career at Ajaccio lasted until [[2008]]. In that period, he also played on loan with Manchester City and Sedan. His next stop was at Nantes where he recorded 50 league appearances in three years.

In August [[2010]], Abdoun joined [[Kavala FC]] where he played a single season. In that year, he led the Greek [[Super League]] in assists with eight. The following year he was acquired by [[Olympiakos FC|Olympiakos]] where he won the league title.

==International==
Abdoun played at all youth levels for France but chose to represent Algeria at the senior level. He debuted for Algeria on [[January 18]], [[2010]], against Angola at the 2010 African Cup of Nations.
