Ananiadis was born on [[August 23]], [[1950]], in Hungary where he started his [[football (soccer)|football]] career. He came to Greece and played for [[Aris FC|Aris]] [[Thessaloniki]] from [[1974]] until [[1980]]. During that period he played in 140 games scoring 41 goals.

In the summer of [[1980]] he transferred to [[PAS Giannina FC|PAS Giannina]] where he played for two seasons recording 59 appearances and 15 goals.
