Togias was born on [[January 12]], [[1960]]. He started his [[football (soccer)|football]] career at Olympiakos [[Argostoli]] moving on to [[Korinthos FC]] where he made his [[Alpha Ethniki]] debut on [[September 30]], [[1979]] at age 19. In [[1981]], he transferred to [[Olympiakos FC|Olympiakos]] where he played until December [[1987]]. During those five and a half years he won three championship titles.

His next stop was at [[Panionios FC|Panionios]] (Jan. [[1988]] until Dec. [[1989]]) where he participated in the final of the [[1989]] [[Grteek Football Cup]] - a 3-1 loss to [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]].

Afterwards, he played for a year and a half for [[Levadiakos FC|Levadiakos]], returning to [[Panionios FC|Panionios]] in the summer of [[1991]]. He ended his playing career after the [[1995]] football season.

After his playing days were over, Togias turned to coaching. He has coached among others [[Paniliakos FC|Paniliakos]], Olympiakos [[Argostoli]], Telycrates [[Lefkada]] etc.
