==Career==
As a player, Hoyos started his career at Talleres de Córdoba, before being transferred to Boca Juniors were he stayed for five years till [[1990]]. Before retiring he also played for CA Banfield, Chacarita Juniors, Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina and for Corporación Deportiva Everton de Viña del Mar in Chile.

He was not capped for Argentina although he was member of Argentina's U21 team in [[1979]] playing alongside with Diego Maradona.

As a coach, he developed a warm relationship with his players at [[Aris]] achieving very good results but was replaced by the [[Salonica]] club's management, in January [[2007]], with Spaniard [[Quique Hernandez]].
