John was born [[1871]] in [[Corfu]]; died about 1950 in [[Alexandria]], [[Egypt]]). He studied in Athens Greek Literature and obtained a PhD from the [[Athens University]].

In 1893, he migrated to Egypt to become the chief editor of the Greek Language newspaper "Omonia", and publisher of the Greek Language journal "Kosmos".
He was a very active member of the Greek community in Alexandria and around or before 1910 he established a Lyceum carrying his name.

The last 30 years of his life he was writing and publishing stories.
