Montez was born on [[June 4]], [[1947]] in Argentina. He played for Atlanta and Chacarita Juniors in his native land before coming to [[Greece]], in [[1972]], to play for [[PAS Giannina FC|PAS]] [[Giannina]].

He played for PAS until December [[1982]], contributing greatly to the team in their glory years.
