Orfanidis was born in Katacha, [[Pieris prefecture]]. He signed for [[Megas Alexandros Katerini]], and played for them in their lone season in the [[Alpha Ethniki]]. After his club merged with Olympus [[Katerini]] to form [[Pierikos FC|Pierikos]], Orfanidis played for [[Pierikos FC|Pierikos]] until [[1965]] when he transferred to [[Ethnikos Piraeus FC|Ethnikos]] [[Piraeus]].

In [[1969]], Orfanidis returned to [[Pierikos FC|Pierikos]] where he ended his career in [[1970]].
