As a coach, he sat on the bench of several Yugoslav clubs before moving in [[1962]] to Turkey to coach Fenerbahce. In [[1964]], he took the reins of [[AEK FC|AEK]] [[Athens]]. His tenure there was not successful and he only lasted one season.&lt;br /&gt;
