The same year they won the [[Cyprus FA Shield]] (Super Cup) by beating [[APOEL FC|APOEL]] [[Nicosia]] 1-0. Nea Salamina played in the Cup final in other two occasions (1966, 2001) but were beaten both times against [[Apollon Lemesos FC|Apollon Limassol]].

The colours of Nea Salamina are red and white and its home stadium is "Ammochostos" ( means "Famagusta") Stadium, with capacity of 8,000 seats, which is in Larnaca. Their original stadium is GSE Stadium in Famagusta but due to the turkish occupation they cannot use it for home.
