Koutsalexis played for [[Panellinios BC|Panellinios]] winning the League title twice: in [[1939]] and [[1940]].

He was capped just once by the [[National Basketball Team]] of Greece, in their very first official game - a 49-12 loss against Turkey in Istanbul.

He died in Paris, France, on [[January 22]], [[2000]], at the age of 83.
