Kouvas was born in [[1946]]. He played for [[Vyzas Megara FC|Vyzas]] [[Megara]] - then in the [[Beta Ethniki]] - and was instrumental in their promotion to the [[Alpha Ethniki]], in [[1966]], scoring 26 goals in that season. He played for [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]] during the [[1972]] season, returning to Vyzas the following year. He ended his career with 73 top league goals (65 for Vyzas, 8 for PAO).

Kouvas was capped once in his career by the [[National Football Team]] of Greece.
