Kapino was born on [[March 28]], [[1994]], to Albanian parents but has lived in [[Greece]] since infancy. He was signed by [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]], in [[2007]], at the age of 13.

On [[September 17]], [[2011]], Kapino made his debut with [[Panathinaikos FC|Panathinaikos]] senior team replacing [[Orestis Karnezis]] who was red carded.

After a few more appearances in the [[Alpha Ethniki|Superleague]], Kapino was called up by [[National Football Team]] coach [[Fernando Santos]] and made his debut with [[National Football Team|Greece]] on [[November 15]], [[2011]], in a friendly against Romania (1-3 at Altach, Austria). In doing so, he set a new record as the youngest Greek international (17 years and 241 days old) breaking the record held since [[1972]] by [[Thomas Mavros]].
