After a start at [[AEP Katerini]] in his hometown Malezas moved to [[PAOK FC|PAOK]] in [[2003]]. He stayed in [[Thessaloniki]] till the summer of [[2012]] with the exception of the 2004/2005-season when he played as a loanee at [[Irodotos FC|Irodotos]]. In [[2012]] Malezas moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany where he stayed till [[2014]] to return to [[Greece]] and play for [[Panaitolikos FC]]. He signed a two-year contract but switched after just one year back to [[PAOK FC|PAOK]] where he won the [[Greek Football Cup]] in [[2017]] and [[2018]].
