'''Yiannis Matzourakis''' (Born in [[Didymoteicho]], [[Thrace]], [[Greece]] on [[June 6]], [[1949]]) is a [[Greeks|Greek]]-Romanian team manager and former [[Football (soccer)|footballer]]. He is currently employed by [[Omonia FC|Omonia]] [[Lefkosia]].

Spending his child life in Romania, Matzourakis began his footballing career for the Romanian side of CFR Cluj, where he became the team's top goalscorer in 1968-[[1969]]. He was later transferred to Rapid Bucharest where he played until the age of 22.

In [[1971]], he returned to Greece and played for [[PAOK FC]] and two years later he was transferred to [[AE Larisa FC|AE Larisa]] where he ended his career.

He began his career as a coach in the [[1980s]], first with [[Aegaleo FC]], then with [[Chalkida FC]] and [[Kavala FC|Kavala]]. In [[1987]] he went to [[Cyprus]] and coached [[AE Paphos FC|APOP Paphos]] and later [[Pezoporikos FC|Pezoporikos]] [[Larnaca]]. Returning to Greece, he coached of [[Naousa FC]].

Mantzourakis won his first title with [[APOEL FC|APOEL]], in [[1990]], after returning to Cyprus.

For the next three years, he was the coach of [[Pierikos FC|Pierikos]] only to return to Cyprus and APOEL in [[1993]].

Afterwards, he coached Larisa, in the [[1996]] season and [[SKODA Xanthi FC|SKODA Xanthi]] until [[1999]]. In [[2000]] he won the Greek championship with [[Olympiakos FC|Olympiakos]]. He returned to Cyprus in [[2002]], and coached [[Anorthosis Famagusta FC|Anorthosis]] and [[AE Limassol FC]].

Mantzourakis had a second stint at Xanthi for two years, quitting the team on [[September 26]], [[2006]]. He returned to Cyprus in January [[2007]], this time with [[Omonia FC|Omonia]], replacing their previous coach [[Ioan Andone]] without success. He was fired after his team was beaten in the [[Cyprus Football Cup|Cyprus Cup]] Final by Anorthosis Famagusta.
