He started his career at [[Corinth FC]], moving on to [[PAOK FC|PAOK]] [[Thessaloniki]] where he was the goalkeeper of the great early-mid [[1970s]] team that was built by coach [[Les Shannon]]. He later returned to [[Corinth FC|Corinth]] where he ended his career in [[1982]].

Stefas died of cancer on [[July 17]], [[2010]].
