He has published 15 books, of which four have had record sales. He has also written lyrics for the music of [[Stavros Xarchakos|Xarchakos]] and [[Giorgos Zambetas|Zambetas]], theatrical plays, and has translated and adapted plays which enjoyed successful runs on stage.

He worked on television for twenty-three years and became a celebrity through his own show, "Five Minutes with Zachos Hadjifotiou".
