Gasmoulos (Greek: Γασμουλος) is the name given by Byzantines to person(s) born from a mixed marriage (Greek x Frank or Latin). Allegedly, the word derives from [[French] . "Gas" (Garcon = Boy = Αγορι) the Latin Mulus (Mulus = Mule = Μουλαρι).
One of the better known "Gasmoulo" is the Byzantine Cavalry Officer George Sgouromallaios (Sgouromalis) (father from the family Sgouros, mother from the family Latin de Mailly).
