On [[October 26]], [[2005]] he made his debut for the “kitrinomavroi”. In January [[2006]] Sokratis was loaned to [[Niki Volos FC|Niki Volos]] for six months. In the summer of [[2008]], just a few after his debut for the Greek [[National football team]], Sokratis moved for two years to Italian side Genoa. AC Milan was in the summer of [[2010]] his next stage in his career. After just five game for the “bianconeri” Sokratis was loaned to German side Werder Bremen in the summer of [[2011]] with the option to purchase outright. Werder bought him but transferred him already the next year to German giants Borussia Dortmund. After a five year spell at Borussia Sokratis moved in the summer of [[2018]] to the English Premier League to play for Arsenal.

Memos Ioannou is a former Greek basketball player, a member of the squad that won Eurobasket 1987.

Agamemnon Ioannou was born on April 15, 1958 in Athens. He played his club basketball for Panathinaikos and later PAOK. His first appearance with the national team was on October 27, 1981 against Hungary, at the "Dimitria", when the coach was Kostas Politis. Over all, Ioannou was capped 64 times with 249 points to his credit.

After his playing days were over, Ioannou became a coach with stints in Cyprus - with Keravnos Strovolos - and in Greece with Ilisiakos and Panionios.
