Yiannis Samaras or Ioannis Samaras (Greek: Ιωάννης Σαμαράς, born May 3, 1961) is a former footballer who played as a midfielder during the 1980s and 1990s.

He started his career at Vyzas Megara FC in 1980. He joined OFI in 1984 and left for a two-year spell at Panathinaikos in 1989 to end his career in 1996 at OFI.

Samaras earned 16 caps for the Greece between 1986 and 1990. He scored one goal, on his eighth cap, in a 4-2 friendly win over Norway.

He is the father of Georgios and currently director of football at OFI.
