- May 2: The Turks surrender Nafpaktos to the Greek forces of Avgoustinos Kapodistrias.

- August 25: Richard Church resigns as Commander in Chief of Greek revolutionary forces.

- September 2: The Treaty of Adrianople is signed between Russia and Turkey. The latter agrees to accept Greek independence.
- September 12: The Battle of Petra takes place. It was the last battle of the Greek War of Independence.
