- January 2: Under its 1/1929 circular, SEGAS invites all Balkan federations to participate in the organization of the Balkan Track & Field Meeting. Romania, Yugoslavia and Bulgaria will respond positively.

- April 7: The National Football Team of Greece play their first international game against Italy's B' Team. They lose 1-4.

- August 18: Ergotelis play their first derby against OFI Crete. The match never finishes as fans go on the rampage half an hour after kick-off.
