Alekos Papadopoulos was a Greek football player and coach.

Papadopoulos was born in Tashkent, former USSR, on June 5, 1951, and played for local club Pahtakor, a teammate of Vasilis Hadjipanagis. In 1976, he came to Greece to play for AEK. After a year, he joined OFI and the year after that (1978), Naoussa FC. In 1983, he transferred to Veria FC and retired the following year.

As a coach, Papadopoulos took over the reins of Naoussa in 1989, developing young talent such as Vasilis Tsartas, Dimitris Markos, Vasilis Lakis, Miltiades and Elias Sapanis, etc.

Under Papadopoulos, Naoussa achieved promotion into the Greek Alpha Ethniki in 1992. Papadopoulos went on to coach Anagennisis Giannitsa, Niki Volos, Olympiakos Volos, Kozani FC, Almopos Aridaia and Odysseas Kordelio. In 2001, he returned to Naoussa - which had dropped in the mean time to the prefectural leagues - and managed to promote his club into the D Division.

Papadopoulos died suddenly on February 6, 2007, at age 56, leaving behind a widow and three children.
