Anthimus III was Patriarch of Constantinople between 1822 and 1824.

Anthimus was originally from the island of Naxos in the Cyclades. Prior to becoming Ecumenical Patriarch, he served as Metropolitan of Smyrna between 1797 and 1821 and Metropolitan of Chalcedon (1821 - 1822).

Anthimus became Patriarch during the Greek War of Independence. During his term of office he had to deal with the problems created by the execution of Archbishop Kyprianos of Cyprus. Finally, in 1824, he was exiled to the Monastery of the Holy Forerunner in Kaisaria (Kayseri).

Anthimus died in Smyrna in 1842.
