Apostolos Glezos

Apostolos "Lakis" Glezos was a Greek football defender of the 1960s - 1970s.

Glezos was born in Piraeus on February 4, 1947. At age 17, he managed to break in with the first team of Proodeftiki where he played for seven years. In 1971, he earned his first cap with the National Football Team of Greece and, one year later, joined Olympiakos.

At Olympiakos, Glezos formed a solid partnership in the centre of defence with Vasilis Siokos, contributing to the red-whites winning of three league titles and three Greek Cups till 1978 when he moved on to Kallithea FC.

During his career, Glezos was capped 10 times with the National Football Team of Greece, scoring one goal.

He died of cancer on June 18, 2007.
