Athanasius IV (Greek Αθανάσιος Δ') was a clergyman of the 17th century who served as Patriarch of Constantinople.

Athanasius served as Bishop of Raidestos in Eastern Thrace. He was defrocked by Patriarch Dionysius IV for unbecoming behaviour towards his parishoners.

After Dionysius himself was removed from office, Athanasius became Patriach of Constantinople in his place for eight days: August 2 - August 10, 1679.
