Dimitris Papadopoulos was a football player of the 1970s era.

Papadopoulos was born on March 1, 1950. He started his career in the youth team of Ergotelis. He played as a forward for OFI from 1967 until 1980. In 1976, Papadopoulos was top scorer of the Beta Ethniki with 23 goals. The following year, he was top scorer of the Alpha Ethniki with 22 goals.

He was a member of two OFI teams that achieved promotion into the top-flight Alpha Ethniki division.

In 1980, Papadopoulos transferred to AEK where he played just one season. He ended his career at Herodotos.

He died on January 31, 2020, at the age of 69.
