The current EPAE President, Vassilis Kontovazenitis

EPAE which stands for Union of Professional Football Clubs (Enosi Podosferikon Anonimon Eterion - Ένωση Ποδοσφαιρικών Ανώνυμων Εταιριών (Ε.Π.Α.Ε.) was established on March 21, 1979 with the main purpose of organizing the national championships in the A, B, and C Divisions and the representation of the professional clubs with EPO.

A total of 64 teams are members of the Union. The Union is governed by a 25 member Board of Directors led by one President and two Vice-Presidents.

Vassilis Kontovazenitis is currently serving as the 15th President of EPAE (elected to the position on April 18, 2006, taking over leadership from Alexandros Lykourezos (elected January 14, 2005).
