Fotinos was born in June 12, 1935. He played for Panathinaikos and was a member of the team that won the Greek Football Cup in 1955.

He died on January 11, 1963, at the age of 27, from kidney failure.

During his career Fotinos was capped twice by the Greek National Football Team.
