Grigoris Georgakopoulos was a Greek athlete in the 800m and the 1500m.

Georgakopoulos was born in 1910. He was an athelete of AEK Athens.

Between 1929 and 1937, he won a total of 16 medals in the Balkan Games, 10 gold and 6 silver.

Georgakopoulos was the holder of the Greek record for the 800m which he broke a total of five times, the last time being in 1936 - 1:57.3 - which stood for 13 years.

He was also the holder of the Greek record for the 1500m which he broke 8 times, the last time being in 1936 - 4:01.4 - which stood for 17 years.

Georgakopoulos took part in the Summer Olympics of 1928 and 1936.

He died of tuberculosis on November 23, 1956.
