Lorenzo Serra Ferrer

Lorenzo Serra Ferrer is a Spanish football coach.

Serra Ferrer was born on March 5, 1953 on the island of Mallorca. His coaching career started in 1981 with Poblense. He coached Mallorca from 1983 until 1993. Serra Ferrer spent the next four years at the helm of Real Betis and in 1997 joined the coaching staff of Barcelona. In 2001, he became head coach of the Catalan outfit succeeding Louis Van Gaal. In the summer of 2004 he returned to Real Betis and led them into a Champions' League spot for the first time in their history.

On June 7, 2006, Serra Ferrer signed a two-year contract to coach AEK, succeeding Portuguese coach Fernando Santos. His tenure ended on February 12, 2008, one day prior to AEK's UEFA Cup match against Getafe.
