Emmanouil "Manolis" Dounias was a Greek fighter during the War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire.

Dounias was from Kynouria, Arcadia, in the Peloponnese. During the Siege of Tripolis in September 1821, Dounias with two companions, climbed the city's walls with a rope, captured one of the towers, turned its cannon upon the Saray and started firing. In the mean time, more Greeks climbed onto the tower using ropes and managed to open two gates from the inside. This led to the capture of Tripolis.
