Manolis Tombazis was an admiral of the Greek Navy during the War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire (1821 - 1829).

Tombazis was born in 1784, in Hydra, the younger brother of Iakovos Tombazis. During the War of Independence, he took part in several clashes against the Turkish Navy in the Aegean.

In 1823, Tombazis was appointed revolutionary commisioner of Crete. He held the post until 1824 but, in spite of initial success, did not manage to liberate the island.

In 1828, he was appointed minister of the Navy but quit after a dispute with Governor Ioannis Kapodistrias.

He died in Hydra in 1831.
