Manos Loizos (Μάνος Λοΐζος, also transliterated as Loïzos and Loisos, October 22, 1937 in Alexandria, Egypt – September 17, 1982 in Moscow, Soviet Union) was one of the most important Greek music composers, yet nearly unknown outside Greece. As a communist, many of his songs have a political background, which didn't prevent him from writing also songs with trivial background and soundtracks.
