Nea Chalkidona or Nea Halkidona(Greek, Modern: Νέα Χαλκηδόνα, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on, meaning New Chalcedon), older forms Nea Chalkidon, Nea Halkidon is a suburb in the northern part of Athens, Greece. It is one of the smallest municipalities but it is slightly larger than Dafni. It is located S of Attiki Odos which opened in 2001 and wasn't fully connected until February 2004, WSW of Kifissia and Kifissias Avenue, W of Marathonos Avenue, N of Athens, NE of Peristeri, E of Kifissou Avenue and SE of Acharnae. The main streets are Kifissou Avenue which is now a superhighway which is also GR-1/E75 for northbound and GR-89 for the southbound lanes and is also a municipal boundary to its west. Another main street is linked to Nea Filadelfeia. Attiki Odos is 2 km south with an interchange to the north and is chaped with a roundabout. The railway line of OSE is east of the city. A junction with Attiki Odos is to the northwest.

The area was made up of farmlands and forests dominated the area. The forests are in the squares. In the early to mid-20th century, urban development replaced much of the farmlands. Today, much of the municipality is urbanized while the businesses are along the main roads. Many of the trees are aligned with the streets and in squares. The forests outside the municipal boundaries are near the Kifissos valley.

Nea Chalkidona has schools, lyceums, gymnasia, banks, a train station, a sports centre, cinemas, post offices and squares (plateies).
