Nikos Alefantos was a much-travelled Greek football player who turned into a much-travelled football coach.
Alefantos is known by his trademark short-sleeved shirts and his knack of speaking his mind even if it gets him into trouble - which it often does.
Alefantos played as a forward for Chalandri, Atromitos Piraeus, Olympiakos Chalkida (1964) and Panaigialios (1965, 1966).
As a coach, he had stints with:
- Doxa Drama - 1983
- Olympiakos - 1984, 1994, 2004
- Panionios - 1985
- Iraklis - 1986, 1988
- AEK - 1987
- PAOK - 1989
- Apollon Kalamaria - 1990
- APOEL (Cyprus) - 1997
- Ethnikos Piraeus - 1998
- Proodeftiki - 1999
- Panachaiki - 2000
- Ethnikos Asteras - 2002
