One of the most prolific goalkeepers in Greek soccer, Nikos Christidis played with the teams of Aris and AEK.

He later went to work as the coach for the Greek Under 21 National Football Team.

On September 15, 2000 he was hired as assistant coach to Vasilis Daniil, coach of the Greek National Football Team.
