- 1964: Kostas Nestoridis - at age 34 - plays the game of his life as AEK defeat Apollon Athens 7-1 at Rizoupolis Stadium. Nestoridis scores three goals with Spiros Pomonis and Lefteris scoring two each. The two scored by Turkish-Greek legend, Lefteris, would be the last of his illustrious career.
- 1978: Greece trounce Finland 8-1 in a Euro 1980 qualifier as Thomas Mavros scores 3, Takis Nikoloudis and Giorgos Delikaris 2 each and Mike Galakos one.
