Mt. Ossa (more commonly known as Kissavos, greek Κίσσαβος) is a mountain (1978 metres altitude) in the prefecture of Larisa in Thessaly, between Pelion and Olympus, from which it is separated by the valley of Tempe. It is a mountain of breath-taking beauty, covered with different kinds of trees and marked by picturesque canyons, that lends itself to outdoor tourist activities such as trekking, exploration on bicycle, etc.

In Greek mythology The Giants are said to have attempted to pile Pelion upon it during the Gigantomachy, in their attempt to scale Olympus.
