The Pedieos (Standard Greek: Πεδιαίος, Cypriot dialect: Πηθκιάς) is the longest river in Cyprus. The river originates in the Troodos Mountains and flows northeast across the Mesaoria plains, through the capital city Nicosia, then easterly, meeting the sea at Famagusta Bay. The river has a total length of approximately 100 km (62 miles).
