Kapino was born on March 28, 1994 in Piraeus, to Albanian parents but has lived in Greece since infancy. He was signed by Panathinaikos, in 2007, at the age of 13.

On September 17, 2011, Kapino made his debut with Panathinaikos senior team replacing Orestis Karnezis who was red carded.

In 2014, Kapino moved to Germany to play for Mainz 05. He failed to establish himself there and the following year transferred to Olympiakos. In 2018 he was transferred twice.
