Theodore Angelopoulos (born in Athens, Greece in 1943) is a billionaire Greek businessman and a shipping magnate and a steel magnate.

Angelopoulos lived in Switzerland for many years where he received his BSc in Business Administration from Zurich University. His family were pioneers in the Greek steel industry and began dealing in the dry cargo sector of the shipping industry in the early 1950s. He built an internationally based group of companies with interests in shipping and steel, and with investments in real estate and private equities, as well as other financial entities world wide.

In 1996, he established Metrostar Management Corp. in Athens, Greece and he entered the oil tanker market in the same year and his company would go on to become one of the world's leading oil tanker operators. In 2002, he took control of the Dutch shipbuilding company oceAnco and he re-established it as a leading shipbuilder of custom-built luxury mega-yachts.

He is married to Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki. The couple has two sons Panagiotis and Giorgos.
