Theodoros K. Bechrakis is a former Mayor of Athens, Greece.

Bechrakis was born in Athens in 1943. He studied architecture at the National Metsovio Polytechnic institute. In 1968, he was jailed by the dictatorial regime of Greece.

After the restoration of democracy in 1974, Bechrakis was appointed "nomarch" of Karditsa prefecture. He became involved in New Democracy politics serving in several capacities until his election to the Athens City Council in 2002. In 2003, he was elected President of the City Council and, on February 23, 2006, mayor of Athens following Dora Bakoyianni's appointment as Foreign Minister.

Bechrakis was succeeded on January 1, 2007, by Nikitas Kaklamanis.
