Yiannis Bourousis (also spelled Ioannis Bouroussis or Boroussis) is a Greek basketball center, currently at Olympiakos BC.

Bourousis was born in Karditsa, Thessaly, on November 17, 1983. He started playing basketball for local club GS Karditsa before transferring to AEK in 2002. In 2006, he left AEK for Barcelona but later that same year was picked up by Olympiakos on a four-year contract.

Bourousis, who stands 2.15m ( 7 ft 0 ¾ in) tall, was a member of the Greek squad that won gold in Eurobasket 2005 and was a member of the Eurobasket 2007 team..

He was a member of the 2008 Olympics team. In six Olympic games, the 280lb Bourousis averaged 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steal and impressed the most cynical of Greek fans. He was the second leading scorer on the Hellas team during the Olympics, trailing behind Vassilis Spanoulis’ 14.3 and ahead of bigger names such as Antonis Fotsis (11) and Theodoros Papaloukas (8.8). Boroussis was also second in rebounding after only Fotsis.

Bourousis is a four-time Greek All-star (2006-2009) and was named to the 2008-09 All-Euroleague First Team.
