Yiannis Fakis was a Greek football goalkeeper for AEK in the early 1960s. He transferred to Aegaleo in 1962 where he became a regular but could not save his new club from relegation in 1964. In that year he was seriously injured by Mimis Stefanakos (kicked in the face) and had to stay away from football for a few games.
