Yiannis Vazos, nicknamed "the fox", was a Greek football player, a prolific scorer for Olympiakos'.

Vazos was born in 1913 in Smyrna, Asia Minor. He came to Greece as a 9-year old refugee child in 1922.

Vazos joined Olympiakos in 1931, from AEK Faliro, and finally retired after the 1948-1949 season. He is said to have scored over 500 goals in his career, which - if true - would place him first among Greek footballers.

He was capped by the Greek National Football Team 14 times scoring 5 goals.

After his playing days were over, Vazos became a coach, leading Anorthosis Ammochostos to the 1955-1956 Cypriot title.

Vazos died on November 6, 1991.
